What is a Construct? []
A construct is a conceptual structure which gives form and properties to psi energy, through which psi energy flows, and which manifests the intent of the psion.
Constructs can take a simple structural form, such as the PSI Energy Ball, or they can have a programmed behavior, such as some psi shields or more sentient constructs. Constructs are a separable creation, able to carry out the instructions placed within them long after the psion's attention is elsewhere.
What can you do with it? []
Psions can use Energy Manipulation to turn gathered energy into tools, objects, weapons and other items; they can also create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Psions who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need. A construct is essentially energy given form and purpose. A PSI Energy Ball is the most famous example of this. Constructs can be used for a variety of tasks and take on a plethora of shapes because the only things they need are will, intent, energy, and creativity.
Limitations []
- Psions' imagination: Less creativity usually means they can only make simplified constructs, such as geometric shapes and stick figures. Advanced practitioners can make exact replicas of anything they think of.
- Can be broken if the amount of force that is applied is greater than the amount the user's imagination can produce.
- If the construct takes too much damage, it may be difficult to maintain and can break, especially if the user has problems with maintaining focus.
- Constructs that are solely used as defensive armor may have their own natural weaknesses.
